Back in 2005 I had the guys build me a 16ft flatbed trailer with 12,000 lbs gw and 17 years later the trailer, now in Washington State impresses people how it was constructed with all 6" channel and could easily carry FAR heavier loads aside from it 6000 pound axles. Even the original paint is still in great shape (I confess to repainting the diamond plate fenders once), and the extreme heavy duty construction has paid off in spades.
