I have been extremely pleased with my experience with Dr Szoko and his team. Making the initial appointment was simple and they were able to see me quickly. The exam was thorough and the communication about the results were clear. I ordered new frames and lenses and a pair of prescription sunglasses as well. Went here a few years. Nice frames and staff, but always above average prices and curious charges. In 2023, Medicare insurance was billed $100 for contacts, using my remaining benefit available. I did not receive contacts. I didn't order contacts and I don't wear contacts. I filed the appropriate grievance with UPMC. This year, I went back just to fit lenses into eyeglass frames and was denied service. I referred insurance company to the clapback and found a more trustworthy optician.
