I recently recovered from 4 strokes and 2 emergency brain surgeries post 2025. Having to re-learn everything like a child was very disturbing for me, having to do ST, PT, & OT for almost a whole year was wild! My (ST) Mrs. Bernie is no longer at the facility (moved to anther state) but I couldn’t be more grateful to have had her guide rehabilitation in my eating, swallowing, and talking capabilities. Carissa is one of the best therapists out there. I have seen her twice for two different injuries and both times she has taken great care of me. Ted in OT is also great. He helped me heat my hand back to normal. The entire staff is great. Will, Kyle, Dexter, Natalie, Laura, Elise, Aubrey, and Tyler were also all amazing.
I am deeply disappointed with the level of care and responsibility shown by this Christus facility. My elderly father suffered a serious fall during rehab under their supervision, which resulted in a fractured hip. What is truly shocking is that the staff failed to take immediate action or provide prompt medical attention. Instead, they downplayed the severity of the situation, delayed getting him the critical care he needed, and waited for me to come pick him up and take him to the ER.
