Don't waste your time with Dr Way. My husband had a massive stroke and is on medication that work for him. We only needed a new Dr as we moved back to NV and we're not looking to change anything. Dr Way without any medical records in front of him wanted to remove a Seizure medication without a Current EEG and while my husband still has silent seizures. My husband has survived so much trauma. And Dr Ways bedside manner was terrible told my husband to stand and walk. My husband is paralyzed. But to try to change medication wit... read more
Very unkind dr.... no beside manner... didn't even look at us during appt.
I had to change away from Dr. Way after 6 months of zero progress or any significant help. I moved here to be with my family and needed another neurologist. My husband’s Parkinson’s recently progressed to a point where his hallucinations required emergency care. Dr. Way and his team showed zero compassion. I left multiple messages about the urgency of needing help, asking to call me on my number. Finally his assistant calls a week later, on my husband’s phone asking for me! I let her know we’ve seen another neurologist, and please remove my husband from Dr. Way’s patient list. Dr. Way’s assistant said sorry and hung up on me. Thankfully we have switched providers.
Not only do I have Essential Tremors, I also have Neurological Functional Movement Disorder and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Dr. Way doesn't believe in CFS and advised me to stop taking the one medicine that was helping me with the CFS. He thought this would also stop my NFMD - doctors from Stanford and other doctors had already ruled that out after doing an MRI and a lumbar puncture. His students had better listening skills than he did.
