When you get admitted and this doctor is in charge of your care but it takes him 3 days to see you. You are left to starve and nothing but mouth with no reason or explanation and your diet gets changed at least 3 more times with no explanation, with the final change of the food looking like ground up dog food. No one can tell you anything besides we are waiting on the GI doctor. He finally came to see my husband after 3 days to inform him that he needs a colonoscopy. Dr Packney knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. When asked a question took time to answer and explain and wanted to be sure I understood. Office staff both at office and surgery center were great. Called Kelly left message and she called back in very timely manner. Great experience. For reference I had colonoscopy.

I've seen a lot of doctors in Hernando county and you are lucky to find a good one. I just saw Dr. Packey for the first time. He listened to me and seemed knowledgeable. He acts like he cares. I didn't know it at the time but I was having a reaction to a medicine another doctor prescribed when I saw him. I was weak and couldn't focus on the topic I was there to discuss with him. I was hospitalized with colitis and was told a GI specialist would be consulted. After two days in the hospital, I chose to pursue outpatient follow-up instead. I had not seen a GI specialist at this point and requested to be discharged with referral to the appointed doctor. After discharge, I was instructed to schedule a follow-up with this office, but I was unable to obtain an appointment despite the referral. I was also unhappy with my interactions with the office staff.
