I have been trying to call the office with debilitating symptoms, but Dr. Rissover had been sick. The MA had been promising be a callback and failed to tell me much info until way later. After receiving a call from the doctor, Dr. Rissover was extremely irritated with me, never asked me how I was doing, and asked if I was still seeing my therapist and it was a good thing, because I shouldn't call their office so much. My primary physician recommended Dr. Schmerler so I was hopeful to find an informed and compassionate neurologist. I found neither. Dr. Schmerler didn't seem concerned about my brain abnormality and offered no medical help. I pushed back with questions and a request for a second opinion. His staff is nice but I will never use his practice again. Even so I hesitated to write this review hoping my visit may have just been a one off for him.
Dr. Schmerler has been great. After no answers for months he knew by looking at me what was going on. He was kind and compassionate to my husband and I. He called me directly after viewing my MRI. I couldn't be happier with the care I have received and thank him from the bottom of my heart for all he has done to this point.
Having had 5 spinal surgeries, twice that number of Neurosurgeons and the last three were repairitory from the unidentified infection from the previous surgeries, I was blessed to meet Dr. Neumann as I was expiring from sepsis! He saved my life and has replaced my hardware and increased my mobility, reduced pain and I am recovering well. He is the only Neurosurgeon with bedside manner, humanity and great excellence who also has a great staff that cares! Terrible
Most dismissive Doctor I have ever seen. Please do not go to him. Not sure why he is still in a practice. Never looked at the results. Just told me it is in my head.
