Dr. Maugans gave me the ability to use my dominant wrist again. My quality of life is now better than I could have imagined, and my recovery after having distal radius surgery is going better than I expected. He was very empathetic, professional and caring. I feel fortunate to have had him as my surgeon.
He was nice enough, but I felt like he rushed through my appointment, and didn't really have any advice to help me with my problem. He was dismissive of my pain, telling me that sometimes the pain will just go away on its own.(!!!) I've been dealing with this pain for about 2 months now. He did end up referring me to a physical therapist, which I could have sought out myself, and not paid for this pointless exam and dismissal.
Don’t waste your time. You will more & better information from YouTube.
Dr. Maugans kindly ad promptly operated on my broken wrist after I fell snowboarding. He did a stellar job fixing the very severe fracture that I had. He is a very nice and conscientious surgeon.
