Dr. Shaffey and his team are incredible!
I had a cage put in. He also did a fushion at lumbar 3. This was my 2nd spine surgery but my first at Duke. Actually Dr. Shaffrey performed a completely new spine taking out my old hardware and redoing everything. I can honestly say if I had to do this again(praying I don't) wouldn't hesitate having him and his expert team performing my surgery. More than 5 stars all the way🤩
Dr. Shaffrey performed a corrective cervical/thoracic surgery on me last November. It was a pretty extensive surgery. Almost a year later and I'm doing way better than I expected. His staff is always professional and compassionate. I'm so grateful that Dr. Shaffrey was available to do my surgery. PS- Duke Hospital Durham is awesome too
I have been seeing Dr Shaffrey regarding a fusion I need to have redone since July 2021. That fusion was not done by Dr Shaffrey or at Duke University. The surgery was scheduled but in the interim I had a major issue with my cervical spine & needed a surgery for that first. I had that surgery on March 4, 2022 with great success. Dr Shaffrey is always helpful in seeing that I understand what the test/MRI is showing & thorough in explaining the procedure.
