Dr G and the entire staff from the administrators, to the residents, to the nurses to the transporters everyone was first class. Dr Gutzekmann in particular was an excellent surgeon. I am an endodontist and understand the importance of how you communicate with patient is as important as conducting the procedure itself. We absolutely loved Dr. Gitzelmann and Abby! They were incredibly respectful and explained things so well when my daughter was in the NICU and needed surgery. We still think of them almost everyday 4 years later. Such an incredible team! We are so thankful for them.

Dr. Gitzelmann and Abigail handled my daughter and our family with such respect throughout the whole process. My husband and I were unsure what was causing our daughter’s belly button to leak after 20 months, but he immediately knew what to look for. On surgery day Abigail called us during the surgery to let us know it would be longer than expected but reassured us everything was fine, and that phone call was the most comforting thing as a parent so we weren’t just left waiting to worry. I wanted to take my time to write this review as I wanted to write it in a way that the person who reads it feel confident enough to consult with Dr. Gitzelmann. I was referred to him by my child’s endocrinologist to perform a minor surgery to insert a device on my son’s arm. Dr. Gitzelmann is an outstanding pediatric surgeon. My 3-year-old son had hernia surgery this morning by Dr. Gitzelmann and is recovering beautifully. He is very friendly, personable, and experienced. I appreciated that he took the time to explain everything to us before and after surgery. The hospital staff also raved about what an excellent doctor/surgeon he is. We made the right decision for our son.
