Dr. Wilkerson was really good to us, but I simply cannot recommend him due to the staff at his office. The level of incompetence is astounding considering they are dealing with such important parts of the body. In addition to his office never answering their phones, the lack of empathy and helpfulness somehow found ways to continually surprise me. Dr. Wilkerson performed a major surgery on my wife. He removed a tumor from my spine with perfection (not without side effects) however the aftercare was a terrible experience. While still under his care I was turned away from any help. I got post operative infection at 3 weeks post op. They asked me to take pictures of my own spine and text them in. (No BLT at this time.) try that. Almost refused to see me one week after starting antibiotics. It was a nightmare that could have been prevented with better aftercare.
I had an anterior - posterior back fusion 3 months ago by Dr. Wilkerson. It has been a miracle surgery for me! All of my back and leg and hip pain that I suffered with for years has completely disappeared. I walk freely without canes or walkers or braces, and I feel excellent. Dr. Wilkerson has had excellent, innovative training, and has been a very competent, caring, and knowledgeable surgeon. I highly recommend his care!
