She may not have the best 'bedside manner' as it were, but I know beyond the shadow of a doubt that Dr. McCarthy has my best interests at heart! She is a no nonsense, 'by the book' doctor. If you're looking for a nurse maid who will hold your hand, she is not your doc. If you want someone who is seriously concerned about your health, will go the extra mile to figure out what's going on with you, and stick with you for the long run, then yes. Straight answers. Rude, rushed and hyper focused on one symptom, rather than seeing me as a "whole person". Very judgemental.
I needed to change Doctors because my primary doctor of 30 years retired. I was apprehensive to make the change but I found Dr. McCarthy easy to talk to, thorough and a very professional. Transitioning to a new clinic can bring challenges...but I've been happy with the people I have talked to and their timely responses.
