I heard that dreaded "C" word in November 2019. Tests were performed at Fox Valley Surgical. Christine Arendt became my endocrinologist. She was so reassuring and educated me regarding thyroid cancer. Dr Iftikhar Malek performed the biopsy and has checked my progress annually using ultrasound. Dr Janeil Mitchell is the surgeon who performed the total thyroidectomy. The three of them make up my medical team at FVSS and they are the best.
