She canceled the appointment before my arrival as I was a new patient. 10 mins late when I finally found the right building after walking through the parking lot (many Adventist Health buildings) and an employee in the ER building helping me. Front clerk said Dr Pyo has a strict zero tolerance policy, which seems too harsh to implement as a new patient. Very inconvenient as i drove from Arroyo Grande, and unfamiliar with Adventist Health. Sounds like the wrong doctor for me.
i don't know if the doctor is any good but her bedside manner is horrible and office staff even worse. I went here several months ago for a pap smear. She refused the pap smear and said it was just a consultation (I traveled one hour each way) and i was surprised...from the waiting room (which nobody else was in) I called my good friend who is married to a gynecologist asking for advice. The front office staff at the time went psycho on me with zero emotional control and started screaming i was not allowed to use cell phones... read more
Dr Pyo is definitely one of the greatest doctors I have met with. Her attention to bedside manner while performing the greatest medical interventions was outstanding. She is unique and incredibly sensitive to the patient.
Careless. Called with what I thought was a routine issue and ended up being life threatening. The receptionist put me on hold for 10 minutes because she had a patient ahead of me, after some time I hung up to call back. When I called back, she stated she had a patient ahead of me again and put me on hold before I could get a word in. I called back, I told her the question was very quick, I wasn’t sure if I was dealing with a medical emergency (which it ended up being) She hung up on me.
Would not recommend.
