Dr. Smillie was wonderful! I am a resident of NYS and saw Dr. Smillie virtually for multiple appointments over a period of months. When I went to her I had already seen three lactation consultants each of whom gave me different and ineffective advice as to how to get my baby off the bottle and back to the breast. He is my second child and my first did not have issues latching or breastfeeding. I went to doctor smillie with my baby almost fully breastfed. I thought she had a possible tongue and lip tie. Dr. smillie told me she was underweight and that was why she wasn't eating well. That I needed to bottle feed her to get her weight up then she'd latch perfectly. Three months later I cry everyday at least twice while I try everything I can think of to try to get my baby to latch again. An ENT finally diagnosed her lip and tongue tie and fixed it but it's now too late to even matter....
