Went to the ER and was treated well there although there was a long wait time to get to a room. Some shining stars amongst the nurses. The doctors, however, were like the Keystone cops appearing out of nowhere all ordering different tests without little explanation. They don’t talk amongst themselves. Was moved to a room on the fourth floor that had a elderly dementia patient who screamed continuously. I felt really bad for her, but I was exhausted. To the leadership and CEO of ChristianaCare Wilmington Campus This is unacceptable. Every single time patients walk into this ER, the excuse is the same: “We’re understaffed.” Or “Waiting room is crowded” At this point, that is not an explanation…it’s a leadership failure. Chronic understaffing is a systems issue, not a patient problem. I am sitting in your emergency room right now watching people bleed on the floor. I’ve watched patients vomit on the floor. I had A 4 1/2 surgery here January 15 2026. I couldn’t have asked for better care. Everyone was caring and professional Thanks to all those involved.

Long over due review, approximately 2 years ago, I could not let this slide. My friend (the patient) received treatment at the Wilmington campus, we were very dissatisfied with one of the nurse’s care, Nurse Sally. She told my friend’s family member that came to visit they were uncooperative, which was not true. Patient and I were asking questions as she moved and talked fast about what she was going to do.
