Although I have no issues with my endocrinologist, I was very upset to see two bills from my last visit. One from the doctor for medical service and another one for an outpatient facility charge. So, you pay two times even though you were not seen in an outpatient facility. I find this billing practice to be unethical and downright shameful. I have found another endocrinologist practice that does not double bill the patient.
UPDATE as of May, 2023: My vitamin D is now up to within the normal range, and my PTH (Parathyroid Hormone) is now down to nearly the upper range of normal. Both Dr Barham and NP Kawansi Newton-Freeman are excellent. Both are warm and friendly, patient, and explain without being condescending.
