Dr. Aller is the best doctor I have ever had. I am 70 years old and have had my share of doctors in my lifetime. I was so excited when I discovered Dr. Aller. He is kind and caring. He wants to know what is going on with you that affects every aspect of your health. He listens and suggests solutions to make your life better. He has moved from St. Luke’s. I think that St. Luke’s was wrong in letting him get away. It is a sad day when one mentally ill patient can ruin it for everyone else. I hope she is happy. I don’t know whe... read more

I trusted the PMC to take care of my severe pain from a deteriorating spine condition, but was very disappointed. I went through months and months of sciatic pain. Dr. Elliot offered dribs and drabs of various pain medications but never the dosage needed to be effective. No one in the PMC ever advised me to take a higher dosage of anything. It was with my neurosurgeon, who tripled the dosage of the med I was taking, that I finally found relief. Dr. Elliot is either stingy, overly cautious or indifferent. The attitude of the ... read more

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Mike Ausmus for 30 years. He was wonderful. Over the years, though, St. Luke's primary care became worse and worse. The bureaucracy became impenetrable. Patients could not schedule an appointment without waiting months - even in an emergency or when post-hospitalization checkups where immediately needed. Patients could not call their doctors. The Central Scheduling office that handles all patient communication knows nothing about medical care, always says it will be 5 to 6 mont... read more

They do not have helpful staff there. I tried to get my husband a lab appointment. They claimed that the order did not get faxed over. They wanted me to give my Doctor, their fax number I refused. I called the Doctor they faxed it over again. The Dr asked me to go out of my way to pick up the order to take with us I refused. The order never got there so I cancelled the appointment. I am not their go between. It is not my job to fix their communication problems. They also told me it wasn't their job and hung up on me. We ... read more

If I could give a zero I would. My husband was in a rear end collision. He was in pain from 65 mile an hour rear end. We sat there for eight hours while they took sniffles, coughs, and vomiters ahead of us. Not to mention a baby crying in pain that had been there longer than us. Elderly people practically falling out of wheel chairs. But the rudeness at your front desk was despicable. And it got worse when we left. It was the worse er experience we have ever had. And the front desk did not care 1 bit. 2nd shift. They will ge... read more

My husband had a procedure scheduled and we were told we would need to psy the day of the procedure. We were not in a position to pay that entire balance so I called the number of the person who could supposedly help us set up a payment plan three times before his appointment. I left messages and did not receive a return call, so I just called the surger center directly. I explained that we could not afford to pay up front for the entire procedure and the person on the phone told me we could set up a payment plan the day of.... read more

we all know hospital is not hotel and it's for treatment and not recovery. The transition to send patient to nursing home creates a huge challenge for patients and both side of care provider put the burden on the other side. The hospital just wants to remove the patients from their buildings since insurance is not paying for patients staying. So they find a nursing home as soon as they can and when the nursing home says they are admitting the patient, discharge happens. Ambulance is right there to take the patients no matter... read more

I am one of three daughters my Mother had, she was in the Hospice House for approximately thirteen days and I must say the staff there are the best, They took care of my Mother with such care and compassion, it made my Sisters' and I feel like they were our family too. I just wanted to let the staff know how much we appreciate the genuine care that your staff showed to my Mother and my family in a very trying time. Losing a Parent is never easy, but your staff made it as bearble as possible and for t hat we are grateful. Th... read more

If you need to see a specialist look elsewhere. 3 months or more if you are lucky enough not to have them cancel on you is the rule for SaintLukesKC. They need more Doctors!
