Dr. Karas is in bed with Joint Implant Surgeons I went to him for a 2nd opinion to find the route to have Dr. Derek Snook's Titanium removed from my lower back .. Iv been in howling pain ever since Oct 22 when it ws placed in my back.. Dr Karas is friendly and knowledgeable. He doesn’t push surgery, and will tell you when surgery is not the best option. He explains everything so well. Just finally understanding my problem made it easier for me to manage. He has a great pain management partner and his PA Tyler is so helpful! I would recommend Dr Karas to anyone who is looking to understand their spine problem and the options to treat it.
I want to share my experience with Dr Karas because he not only fixed my back, he saved my life. 2 yrs ago I was in a miserable place because the 3 yrs prior to that, I walked bent over because of back pain and other Dr's couldn't find the problem or weren't really paying attention. I already had a Spinal cord stimulator and it wasn't helping. I would not recommend Dr Karas. A week after my consult with Dr Karas, I called and had to leave three voicemails over a 7 day period with his nurse just to get my back/spine surgery scheduled. The morning of the surgery (Wednesday) Dr Karas explained the procedure again and told my wife and I that he would provide a prescription for pain medication and if I needed a refill to just give him a call prior to running out and he would write me another prescription.
