Have ordered from Choys on numerous occasions and had great experiences. However, I ordered a large order on Boxing Day and I have never been so disappointed, The chicken fried rice was just plain rice with a couple pieces of chicken on top with a couple pale old peas, the cantonese noodle dish was seriously lacking in noodles and was mostly cabbage, sprouts and raw onion, the golden dragon (my grandson and my favorite) was the worst, had a couple pieces of pineapple and the huge meatballs were of the frozen type overcooked ... read more
This is the worst chinese food I have bought. Tonight we ordered 3 meals and everything was bad. The quality of this food was below par on so many levels.The chicken tasted spoil and I refuse to believe that the chef cooked that chicken without knowing it was spoiled. The Cantonese noodle tasted like gas. In addition to that the portion size of the chicken fried rice was appalling and only had 2 tiny pieces of chicken on top. Ordered last night. 2 dishes, a wonton soup and fried rice. The portions were tiny - a large wonton soup had 2 wontons which were mostly wrapper with what felt like an ikea meatball inside. The baby corn in the soup tasted like perfume. The fried rice tasted chewy and old, with little of anything in it (it’s supposed to have egg, right??) either other places are overwhelmingly good and this is the norm, or this was just terrible and my expectations are realistic.
