Very disappointed with CHOP. ED KOP. We waited for over 2 hours and I finally ask what’s the estimated time for my child to be seen and I was told there is still a lot of people in front of you. So i ended up leaving and going elsewhere .It was a complete waste of time, gas. I will never come back to this ED again. I’m very disappointed with CHOP being such a large establishment should have a better flow in their ED department. :-(
Sadly as a fellow healthcare provider with over 25 yrs experience and multiple board certifications: This was our 3rd lackluster experience here. 3rd time also being the worst experience including ED and On Call Neurologist. My daughter arrived via paramedic from school after neurological emergency. RN was prompt, actively listened. Registrar polite. There is no reason why I was in the ER for really bad depression episodes, and in all of the six hours I was there, I saw two people — the doctor and the social worker. The social worker is absolutely unbelievably bad at her job. I’ve been to this hospital two other times for the exact same thing, and I had her twice. When I had her the very first time, she was telling my mom that she thought I was doing it for attention and being dramatic. Amazing team! Was out of town and had to be seen for an emergency for my child. They were helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Very clean and calming environment. Highly reccomend
