Dr. Chong is a good doctor but the staff is a mess. We wait for long periods of time, even with appointments. When they had covered California insurance, the staff could not be bothered to help you but when I got insurance through work and it had more perks, they suddenly wanted the kids to have all kinds of tests run and see all kinds of specialists. The staff messes up the schedule, thy make us drive there only to be turned away. This place has become a mess. Stay away!
Dr. Chong is very thorough with her patients. She explains everything in layman's terms so that you don't feel intimidated. She is very knowledgeable and I trust her when it comes to treating my kids. The staff are also very friendly and always remembers the names of my children. Although her office can be packed sometimes I am willing to wait for my children to receive the best care. Also in urgent cases, she will go out of her way to make sure your child is okay even on the weekends.
They make you wait a long time for just a 5 imn visit after she actually comes in the room to see you. but besides that she def knows what she is talking about when it comes to kids wellbeing.
I would NOT reccomment Dr. Joyce Chong. She seems like she's always in a hurry to get patients in and out of the office and does the bare minimum in checking my baby. I asked her a few questions and her answers are short and non-informative. Also, her staff is very unprofessional. Their attitude seems like they're too good for you. Such a waste of time and money coming here.
Wait times are terrible even with a appointment and the staff is very rude. I took my son in for a concern with Dr. Joyce she examined my son and gave me her recommendation after she walked out I could hear her discussing and laughing with her staff about the concern that I had. I think it is very unprofessional and something unexpected from a pediatrician.
