This is the only authentic mine tour in VC. Not only is this tour led by knowledgable guides (like Gary), but mine owner Andre is very friendly and genuinely cares about Comstock history. In addition to the actual tour underground, the site has an incredible collection of mining machinery and artifacts, rivaling any major mine museum. I first went on this tour when I was 10 years old and it sparked a lifelong interest in Comstock history. Don't visit VC without doing this tour!

Amazing tour led by Gary Buckley, a local legend in these parts. He was extremely knowledgeable and made history come to life with his stories. Every question we had, he knew the answer to. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and learning about mining history and culture. Later that day at the Red Dog Saloon, we got to talking with the bartender, and she told us Gary’s nickname in town. Walked a mile to get to the mine at it was closed even though the Google information said it was open
