My dad was admitted to this facility to get rehab after having a partial hip replacement. Do to Covid we were not allowed into the facility. No one from PT ever called me to discuss his progress. I called numerous times and left voice mails. On July 21st I was called at 11:00pm to say his oxygen level was at 70% and what did I want to do. Of course I said take him to hospital. My mom had a stroke in Jan. Was admitted to Universal for short term rehab. When she went in, she had good use of her left hand and spoke in sentences. We brought her home yesterday. After sleeping for 20 hours straight due to all the drugs that were given to her before she left, we realized that she can only speak a few words and cannot use her left hand hardly at all. Understaffed which causes failure to respond when a resident asks for assistance. Chronic problem which cannot be fixed until budget is increased. Appalled by almost daily occurrences of standard of care not being met at North Raleigh facility.
