It's not just Goodwill raising their prices! CHKD is trying to be a consignment store too I guess. $40 Jackets, $20 dresses... there was a shirt that for $6.99 that is $5 brand new! You don't need to jack up prices just because something has a brand name! Everything is DONATED! Even the furniture is overpriced! This is extremely upsetting. I have been both shopping and donating to CHKD thrift stores for years but I'm absolutely fed up with the increased pricing that has occurred in the last couple of years. I routinely find items that are priced at or more than brand new like items. Today I found a canvas print that was slightly worn with the staples holding the canvas to the frame starting to come out. I have never been to this thrift store. I was so disgusted to see the pricess for donated items. It's absurd! Specifically, there was a 2pc canvas painting (that was clearly a set. one half made a whole image) and when I went to pay, they were charging per piece. When the AM Nicole came to verify, she said condescending that it's priced sep. That's ridiculous to try to make double on one item. I'll never return.
Extremely overpriced.
