I'm still reeling from the awful experience my friends and I had here a few days ago. One of my friends suddenly felt light headed and ended up throwing up inside the store. As embarrassed as he was, the situation was made infinitely worse. This employee complained about the clean-up job loudly in front of the entire store as we were still in the process of leaving. It's a thrift store. But their prices are equal to or higher than retail. Update 20 September 2025. Their prices are still high.
I've been to plenty of different CHKD Thirft Stores and thrift stores in general, but this one seems over priced and have rude people working. You can openly hear disagreements and conversations that should not be overheard by the public generally. They do have a lot of good furniture. Chkd thrift stores are known for their furniture, but when things are heavily overpriced. I love Goodwill in Suffolk. They're amazing people. Bought classic vintage books. They were in pristine condition but they marked the prices on the front of the books instead of the binding that wasn’t fabric. Impossible to remove the black price markings. Looks awful and ruined the fabric of the covers. Why not use price stickers or price them where it can be easily removed? So disappointing for the price point they had each book at. Not worth it considering the books now have black markings and smudges that won’t come off.
