This place is horrible and lies. They scheduled my dog for a surgery and then lied about the time. Multiple text reminders were sent and they talked to us over the phone several times. They never told us an updated time. At 715 in the morning the day of they called us and canceled the appointment without warning. Not only are they over priced they lie. What an awful vet.
I recently switched to Chisholm Trail Veterinary Clinic after a disappointing experience at Animal Medical Center of New Braunfels, and the difference was remarkable. At Animal Medical Center, I felt like my concerns were not adequately addressed, and I left with the impression that the focus was more on expensive recommendations than on finding practical solutions for my cat's needs. One of our dogs has been going here since we moved a few months ago. We’ve already spent thousands of dollars and the appointments almost always take over 2 hours. I took our other dog to her 9 o clock appt and pulled in the parking lot at 9:09 so I was admittedly 11 or 12 minutes late by the time I got inside with my one year old in tow. I am also 8 months pregnant lifting my 50 pound dog in and out of the vehicle. First they tell me they might need to reschedule since I was more than 10 minutes late. A huge THANK YOU to Dr. Hurley, Vet Tech Karissa, Vet Tech LJ, and the entire Chisholm Trail Veterinary Clinic team for taking such incredible care of my Topo Chico! They went above and beyond when I brought him in for what I thought were just tummy issues, but turned out to be a life-threatening bladder blockage. Our family had to make the incredibly difficult decision to say goodbye to our sweet dog, Cocoa, and the staff at this clinic showed us so much compassion and kindness throughout the entire process. They treated Cocoa with such dignity and gave our family the time, care, and support we needed during one of the hardest days.
