Fantastic environment for my daughters first hair cut. So many fun details hanging from the ceiling and on the walls. The TV has youtube so finding my childfavourite show to calm her nerves help a ton. The staff was warm and welcoming. The haircut was fantastic, we even got a certificate. Just a phenomenal expirence from start to finish.
Had a awful experience bringing my 2.5-year-old son here for a haircut. Due to road closures and detours, we arrived 10 minutes past our scheduled time. I went straight to the counter to explain the situation and apologize for the slight delay. Rather than letting me know right away if the stylist was unable to take us, the staff asked me to take a seat. Pros: very kind staff, accommodating (did our appt early), TVs to distract kids, very helpful with crying babies. Cons: haircut was not great. Sideburns are uneven, the back cut above is slanted, took more than I asked for off - I regret going and should have just done it myself. I understand it can be challenging with a toddler who does not want to be there, but that’s part of their job. Thankfully, hair grows back!
No tears!!! Emma C gave my son an amazing haircut and made the entire experience so easy and enjoyable. She was so patient, made him feel comfortable, and worked quickly without ever making him feel rushed. Chiquicuts is such a fun place for littles, they have car chairs, tv’s, bubbles, stickers, and so many little touches that make haircuts exciting instead of stressful. Not one to normally post negative experiences online but felt obligated too. This place charges 40 plus dollars a cut and did nothing special. The hairstylist did not even ask us what we wanted and we had to interrupt her and tell her how to cut our daughters hair: she then proceeded to not say a single word to our daughter the entire time. At the end we had to ask her to put sparkles in her hair. Again this would be no issue if it were a regular barber shop charging $20/cut for kids but they charge $40 plus dollars for what... read more
