My family recently had a reunion and stayed in a lakefront 5 bedroom townhouse. Overall the townhouse met expectations for a great time. The unit had plenty of room for family dining inside and out, lots of kitchen space and adequate bathrooms and bedrooms to accommodate the 11 people who stayed there. We had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving in Unit 189. We had originally booked Unit 156, which somehow became unavailable a few days before our trip. The team informed us right away and helped us choose from other options. While the remaining lake-facing units weren’t as nice as our original pick, they offered us Unit 189 at the same price — slightly larger with a partial lake view — and we appreciated that gesture. We stayed in unit #72, it was a 4 bedroom with 2 bathrooms. The house was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The resort was very clean and peaceful.

We have stayed at Chinquapin many times over the years and it’s one of my favorite places on this earth. This time was very special as we came with our children and their children. We had a 4-bedroom house on the lakefront which suited us very well. The resort is peaceful and calm even though there were a lot of people staying. It’s perfect for little ones as everything is there. No need to drive off anywhere unless you want to. It’s lovely to find somewhere that is every bit as perfect as it was almost 50 years ago.
