After meeting Dr Okwara today, I realized how bad she wanted to imposed her believes and morals on me. I suffer anxiety and for her I'm just playing dumb. I think is dangerous when service provider's personal opinions interfere with patient best interests. We are a smart population, we want to do things right and in the best interests of us, I don't really care about her personal morale.

Dr. Okwara is the best psychiatrist I have ever seen. She is concerned about my well-being and in-put. She listens attentively, offers helpful, but non judgmental advice, and goes out of her way to show patients that they have an ally in her. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Horrible! She did not listen to my concerns and tried to give me the same meds that I had explained DID NOT HELP with my anxiety. She refused to prescribe even a weeks worth of sedatives or tranquilizers to try and blatantly lied and said the only way to treat anxiety is with antidepressants, therapy, or check myself into the mental hospital! All I wanted was some one who would listen and NOT give me the same treatment that I have explicitly said never worked! Her response was that I haven't tried all of the anti depressants... read more

Dr. Okwara was amazing! She was the psychiatrist being shadowed by the resident I was seeing (which just shows you that she's talented if they want someone else to be like her). She worked well with the resident and worked well with me. I had several thoughts, concerns, and ideas, and she was so incredibly patient and helpful.
