Bad Credit Card Security Although the food and service were good, the restaurant uses an outdated credit card handling system which places unnecessary risk on the card holder. I would not recommend it until they update their system.

Great food We've only been once, but the food was excellent. The walnut shrimp was out of this world. This is not traditional chinese food, but it is very good. We paid cash, so no idea how their credit card system worked.

Every time I visit my Parents in Sacramento we have to go to Chinois City Cafe. Their House Special Chow Mein over Hong Kong noodles is so full of goodies like Shrimp, Scallops, Chicken, BBQ Pork, Exotic Veggies in a wonderful Sauce! You can make a meal out of this alone or spoil yourself by ordering the Sizzling Chow Steak Kew(Mushrooms & Beef in oyster sauce), Honey Walnut Prawns, Emerald Garden Prawn & Scallop Stir Fry, or Chinois City Cafe Phoenix & Dragon to name a few. Can't wait until my next visit!!!

Every year at this time my buddy and I go to this restaurant for'The Chinois Special Chicken Salad' which is supposed to have"Crispy Noodles, Pickled Vegetables, and Sesame Ginger Dressing." This year what we got was just awful! For the "pickled vegetables" we got instead actual pickles (yes, pickles!) and raw bell peppers ... For the "sesame ginger dressing" what we got tasted like pickle juice seemingly straight from the bottle ... I kid you not! ... We tried this restaurant based on prior customer reviews. Although not an impressive exterior the food and ambiance inside the dining area were superb. Chan, our waiter for the evening, was engaging, funny and very efficient. He made sure we had a great dining experience. Do not over order as their serving sizes are generous. If you enjoy Chinese food we both recommend you give Chinois a try. We will be going back for the food and the friendliness.

Very very disappointing – I have been going to Chinois for over 10 years. It has always served good food. However I cannot not explain what has happened to quality (or lack thereof) the past two times I have been there. The latest was a few weeks ago. To begin with the rolls were extremely oily. However that was actually the highlight of the meal. We ordered a fish dish specialty and it was terrible - truly bad. Not As Good As It Once Was – Birthday dinner for my bride, Chinois has always been one of our favorites, great food and service 1-15-09 Service was unexceptable to the point of almost leaving, it took ten minutes to get a order placed and thirty minutes to get food to our table.
