Even the hq is not great – I never knew this schools has more than one location...My friend took me to one in highlands area before and it is really bad. I am from China and I have seen these real shaolin kongfu before...and this is NOT it! It looks not even like the chinese marshal arts at all. These fellows wear the tai kwong do outfits in barefoot and do strange movements that is not reall chinese kongfu. I wrote a review on the highlands location and then these ad came up. I am so surprised that they have so many school ... read more
Not as Advertised – Being Chinese, I was searching for traditional Chinese shaolin kung fu back in the nineties. Seeing their sign on their school, I was ecstatic! But, like an idiot, I didn't go watch a class first. I went in, asked questions and signed their contract and laid out a lot of cash. I showed up to my first lesson and first noticed that everyone was wearing Karate Gis and barefoot, and that threw me off. I assumed there was a Karate class sharing space at the school, but to my dismay - no, this was the supposed ... read more
Real Martial Arts, not a Karate Factory – I've been attending CSC Marietta for 1.5 years and have really been enjoying getting in great shape, learning "Old School" Kung Fu & Tai Chi, and becoming friends with other students at the school. This is a true "community" of caring, hardworking/training Martial Artists led by Master Reid. From White Belt to Black...it's a great all around school. I'm glad to be a part of CSC! This was one fo the best life choices that I've ever made to date, and I'll continue to go here and study ... read more
A great place to learn and grow – As a physician and former enlisted man in the military, I have experienced many different types of instruction and learned from many different types of instructors. I can honestly say some of the best are at this school! This school has a seemingly "magical " means of attracting people who are not only dedicated to growing themselves as martial artist but instructing others in the martial arts. I am truly amazed at how many people from so many different backgrounds can be such good instructo... read more
Great place to train – I found this school after checking out other schools in the area, and have been training here for a while now. Master Reid, a former Atlanta Falcon, is not only an incredible athlete but a great teacher, and person as well. The school has a wide variety of styles and instruction that helps a person reach their individual goals. The school's diverse curriculum will make sure that you are constantly challenged both mentally and physically as you learn reality based martial arts. The school has itself has ... read more
Great place for kids to train – Master Reid is great with the kids. Being an "old school" former NFL player, he knows how to let the kids have fun but also knows how to get down to the business of training. I see benefits my kids are getting here that they cannot get with any sport - right and left brain neural pathways being developed through learning the short forms, and being able to defend themselves through the self defense techniques they learn is invaluable. I also like that the school is not a tournament based school... read more
