We stopped in at Chinched Bistro last Saturday afternoon after walking around downtown St. John's and were glad we did, the little dining room has a cozy, unpretentious charm that suited two old sightseers just fine. We stopped in at Chinched on a Tuesday evening after wandering around downtown all afternoon and were glad we did, the charcuterie board alone was worth the trip. Our server walked us through the ever changing menu without any rush, even though the place was nearly full for a weeknight. My husband still talks about the braised short rib, and I couldn't get enough of the maple dessert they brought out. Headed to Chinched on a lazy Sunday morning with a few friends and honestly could not have picked a better spot. The charcuterie board we shared was absolutely stacked, with house-cured meats that tasted like someone actually put care into every slice. Our server was warm and unhurried, which made the whole brunch feel more like a meal at a friend's place than a restaurant. If you're in St. John's and want something that feels special without being stuffy, this is the move.

Stopped in at Chinched Bistro a couple of weeks ago after a long day of meetings and it was exactly the reset I needed. The charcuterie board was genuinely impressive - house-cured meats with pickled accompaniments that actually had complexity rather than the generic spread you find at most spots. Service was warm without being hovering, which is a balance a lot of places get wrong. If you're passing through St. John's, this one is worth making time for, full stop.
