Don't bother to call, 1: they only take referrals, 2: if you need care, hopefully you'll live long enough to get an appointment 2-3 months from your first call. The staff person who answered my call was quite rude.
Dr. Chimenti was the on call cardiologist when I was brought into the ICU at Mills Peninsula Hospital two weeks after a triple bypass (CABG) at Stanford. It turned out I had a very serious internal bleed due to my post-surgical medications. Dr. Chimenti was competent, compassionate, and took the time to not only go through the issues I was dealing with, but also got on the phone and kept my sister updated on my progress (my sister is also a physician). She spends time listening to me. Appears to be very thorough regarding medications. explains well. Very kind. Very professional. I have a lot of confidence in her care.
I have been a patient for over 15 years. She is an excellent physician with great bedside manner. She is very knowledgeable, listens to his patients and provides great medical care. I feel very lucky to have her as my cardiologist and has saved my life. Her care in superb, and her staff is fantastic.
