extremely knowledgeable and caring, willing to explain things so I can understand. He also has a great sense of humor which sets people at ease.
Dr. Chilton is an outstanding physician. My parents two of my mother's siblings swear by him not at him. He is not only attentive and compassionate, but unusually highly- qualified, (he is a doctor of internal medicine able to handle more complex issues than a generalist) but he is also a kind wonderful man with a great sense of humor. If I still lived in the Farmington valley, he would be my physician.
Very knowledgable
Fantastic Dr. I’ve been seeing him for over twenty years. He is an expert diagnostician and has a great personality, spends all the time I need with me, explains things clearly and has a great sense of humor.
I found Dr. Chilton to be rude and despondent. He basically got really close into my face and talked to me like I was stupid, knowing I had gone through a tough time lately being in the hospital. You would think a doctor would treat you with respect and have some sympathy. You have to see him when he is in a good mood, which is probably why other people have given him a better rating. You catch him being in a bad mood then forget it. Would definitely not recommend anyone I know to see him!!
I have been a patient of doctor Chilton for over 20 years and find him to be terrific doctor. He is very patient and really listens to your needs. He does not rush to give you a prescription and then send you out the door like so many doctors. I once ended up in the hospital due to a spasmodic esophagus that the hospital could not diagnose with many tests. After hearing my symptoms, doctor Chilton knew what it was and made me aware that that it is caused by acid reflux.
Contrary to my expectations, Dr Chilton fell short as he proved to be dismissive and rude, created an adversarial situation by his comments and failed to provide the healing atmosphere that should have been present in every doctor/patient relationship.
Dr. Chilton makes you feel as though you are his only patient that day. He has a great sense of humor and never sugar-coats what you need to do to get better. His staff is cheerful and extremely competent. My wife and I have recommended Dr.Chilton to a number of friends and they are as pleased with him as we are.
