I was very impressed with Mike Childs from Childs Residential Services & Repair. He arrived promptly (same day!), quickly diagnosed the issue, and clearly explained each step of the repair process. He was professional, courteous, and very personable, making the entire experience stress-free. He really helped me out when I was in a tough spot. I had reached out to Mark needing someone to come out and look at a problematic outdoor faucet. Mark then called me and instead of thinking "oh this is easy money, this guy's an id*&t homeowner", he walked me though the steps to fix the issue simply and cheaply. Probably one of the craziest things I've encountered from a contractor. Just good ol' help. I certainly recommend reaching out to him. I just cant promise your issue with me as simple as mine ;)
Mike is awesome! Very fair price but ultimately he fixed the issue and answered all my questions and concerns. Very professional and over all great guy!
Mike is an independent, he works alone so he can be hard to get hold of at times which IMO is understandable. On the other hand I had a water main break and no water in the house and he came out within an hour to have a look. Others would have easily charged $1,000 for what turned out to be a simple repair with digging. Mike was MORE than fair with the price and I made sure that I tipped him very well for that.
