My son, who is on the spectrum, has been going to Children’s Lighthouse for the last 3 years. I cannot say enough great things about them. All the teachers and staff are some of the most patient, caring and loving people ever. Shout out to Ms. Britny, Ms. Hunter, Ms. Kelly, Mr. Maverick, Ms. Irene, Mr. Ben and Caleb for always greeting me with a smile when I come in to pick up my son. Both of my boys have been attending here for the past two years, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience! We have truly enjoyed getting to know and work with their teachers. They have been caring, supportive, and wonderful with our boys. The office staff has also always been so welcoming, kind, and communicative. Anytime we’ve had a question or concern, they have been willing to listen, communicate with us, and make sure the issue is addressed and resolved. Staff turnover is a HUGE issue here. My child was constantly coming home asking where their teachers went, and honestly, I had the same question. In the last month alone, we have seen about 8 teachers leave. My child who already struggles with being away from their parents, constantly having to adjust to a new teacher is extremely difficult. Unfortunately, our experience with this daycare has raised several serious concerns. The high staff turnover has made it difficult for children to have the consistency and stability they need. In one year, we went through 12 teachers. This past week on of my children's classrooms lost all teachers assigned to the room. Frequent changes in teachers and caregivers can be particularly challenging for young children who benefit from predictable routines and familiar adults. We absolutely LOVE this location of Childrens lighthouse!!! The environment is bright and cheerful, but what really makes the difference is the way the staff shows up for every child. What impresses me most is how personally they treat each kid. It doesn’t feel like a one-size-fits-all place.
