I scheduled an appointment for my son with Dr. Shannon Bogan due to some concerns I wanted addressed as soon as possible. While I originally hoped to see Dr. D, availability pushed the appointment out a week, so I opted for Dr. Bogan in the meantime. For context, my son becomes extremely anxious and emotional during doctor visits. When Dr. Bogan entered the room, her tone immediately came off as impatient or irritated. Doctor Despinasse is the best pediatrician in Louisiana, and he has the best staff working alongside him especially one medical assistant in particular Jakayla Robert who is the only one who can give my son his vaccinations because of her calming demeanor and ability to keep him calm enough to receive his shots. I pray she stays in the medical field and stays with Children’s International until my son turns 18 and can’t see Dr. D anymore!
