We had an 8 am appt, arrived just prior to 8am, waited about 5 min in the waiting room before going back, they took my sons X-rays pretty quickly and then we basically waited over 30 min for a hygienist and the actual Dentist didn’t come in until 930. We were the first appt of the morning and it took over 1.5 hrs to be seen. I’m feeling incredibly frustrated and shaken after a recent experience at Lancaster's Children's Dental Health, in lancaster PA. As many of you know, my son is a Type 1 diabetic, and managing his blood sugar can be unpredictable at times. During a routine dental check-up, his blood sugar was a bit higher than usual, which is something we do our best to manage but can happen despite our best efforts—he had just eaten and received his correction dose of insulin. The wait times are so bad. Kids get restless so it doesn’t make for a wonderful experience at all. You spend more time waiting than you do in the actual appointment. I’ve attended here for all 3 kiddos over a span of years and it’s still the same. It’s very disappointing and beyond frustrating.
