I visited "Dr." Childers early January 2021 due to one of my "boys" growing to in excess of 2x the size of the other. I was warned that he was "unique" before the visit, but I needed to be seen fast so I set up an appointment. My primary doctor was "very concerned". and urged me to be seen immediately. He suspected a cancer from his examination. Upon meeting Mr. Childers, he was very rushed in his demeaner, and acted like he could care less about why I was there. He was the most inconsiderate doctor I have ever met. Placing blame on other doctors and radiologists because they were not up to his standards. Blaming modern medicine. He may be a good procedural doc, but I will not go back to him. The constant screaming at the patients was ridiculous.
I would rate him a 5* out of 5. An excellent surgeon with down to earth or old school bed side manner. I had to make a decision on whether to select a robotic surgeon or Dr. Childers open surgical procedure for a prostatectomy. I am so thankful I chose the open surgery. Everything that could of went well did go well and its because of Dr. Childers open surgical expertise. I would recommend Dr. Childers for anything Urological.
Dr. Childers is a rare find in the medical field. Very straightforward and down to earth. Answers all questions. Very personable. Goes out of his way to ensure I understood and felt comfortable. His wife who works the desk is also wonderful!
Very good with my elderly father. Very confident. Diagnosed and treated a problem others had missed.
