I had a terrible experience with Debbie as my midwife. The end of my story is that my son died while I was in labor. I had developed preeclampsia which was never diagnosed. I would give anything to go back in time and choose a qualified OBGYN and give birth at a hospital. I received zero empathy from Debbie and I would Never recommend her to anyone. I met Debbie when I was 28 week pregnant with my 1st, and she kindly told me she won't be able to take me due to the advanced stage I was in.She did recommend another midwife, which I was unhappy with (not Debbie's fault), and ended up having a natural hospital birth. With my next 2 babies I made sure to contact her the moment I found out, and I had my beautiful 2 girl in my own bed, without much pain and only a short time in actual labor.These 2 births were nothing compared to the 54 hours of labor I had with my son.My last... read more
I have had two home births with Debbie and each were wonderful despite being drastically different. From the time we met she has always been patient and taken time to answer all of my questions (and I ask a lot). Not only does she lead with natural methods, but she also treats me like an individual when making health decisions.
