I first reached out to Dr. Steve after contacting a patent support group because of my 12 year olds behavior and school issues. I was at my breaking point and next thing would be a bootcamp. While Rome wasn’t built in a day through weekly therapy sessions my son’s behavior has improved drastically in the sense of his respectful tone most times with me and his teachers have now commented on how hard he is trying. My son attended group therapy sessions with Dr. Steve for several years. The weekly sessions, which Dr. Steve runs in a gameshow style, were effective in motivating my son to make good choices with regard to respecting his parents, being responsible with chores at home and with his school work. I will be forever thankful to Dr. Steve for the positive impact his therapy sessions have had on my son.
My son is a 10 year old boy and seeing Dr. Sussman right now. I trusted the reviews and it turned out to be a right decision. I heard that a lot of psychologists don’t accept insurance, not to mention Medicaid, but Dr. Sussman’s reply dispelled my worries: He does take Medicaid. We don’t have to pay but accept 5 stars services. He answers my question very quickly, no matter in the early morning, late night or during the weekend. Dr. Steve does a great job! He keeps the kids and families engaged through his humor. He uses several different creative forms of rewards to motivate the kids. He was also available whenever needed to troubleshoot any issues or consult with us concerning our child’s behavior. I would definitely recommend his services.
