While the Child Mind Institute is known for its expertise, my experience raised serious concerns about professional boundaries. I authorized a giftedness evaluation based solely on IQ, but the clinician repeatedly attempted to expand the scope into areas already formally diagnosed elsewhere. Poor Experience with Scope and Ethics I cannot recommend Child Mind Institute based on my experience with their gifted testing services. I authorized a very specific evaluation—giftedness testing based solely on IQ—and clearly communicated this both verbally and in writing. Despite that, the clinician repeatedly attempted to expand the scope into areas that had already been assessed by other professionals to "upsell." This is definitely not a place you want to work. Theres no diversity... literally. All one race of people that will ostracize you and put you to work in the back somewhere if your not thier kind. It sucked. I was hoping for more transparency and diversity when hired.
