We had a great experience with CAPSS. We had taken our kid to a couple different therapists before, and our therapist at CAPSS (Paige Harris) was able to give us a more accurate diagnosis and effective treatment plan. Our kid did really well with the plan, and we saw huge strides over the course of a few months. Therapy is expensive, and we were reluctant at first, but it was worth every penny for our kid to see someone who had specialized training in the relevant condition. Highly recommend!
As a child psychologist in private practice on the Eastside, I refer to CAPSS more than any other group. The providers at CAPSS are unmatched in training and expertise. This is the first clinic I reach out to when I need a referral for friends and family in my non-professional life, as well; my personal experience with providers at CAPSS has only solidified my trust and confidence in this group. Hands down, would recommend, without hesitation.
Highly recommend! I am a clinical psychologist myself and often refer others to this practice. The clinicians are all very well trained and provide excellent evidence-based care for their clients.
We had a wonderful experience with CAPSS for educational testing. They were communicative throughout the experience, letting us know what to expect and how long each step would take. Our provider established rapport quickly with our 4yo, and provided a very clear assessment and follow-up ideas after the observation and testing. If we need therapy or other services in the future, we won't hesitate to use CAPSS again.
I also had a "black hole" experience with the intake process. I filled out an intake form, heard nothing, emailed two weeks later, then finally got a response from someone just to tell me that she has no availability but to email her monthly if i can't find anyone else... If the goal is to support families, it seems worth investing in a system to keep the website up to date with clinician availability (currently/not currently taking new patients), manage a waitlist, and provide automatic responses to intake forms that help s... read more
