I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Chief Auto Repair. I brought my Honda to this shop because the engine was cranking but would not start. After supposedly diagnosing my vehicle, I was told that all four cylinders had no compression and that I needed to replace the entire engine. I specifically asked for the individual compression readings for each cylinder and was not provided with actual PSI numbers. I was still charged $120 for the diagnosis. I brought my 2001 Camry to Chief because I needed a new exhaust manifold with a catalytic converter so I could pass NJ inspection. I told Oscar very clearly that my current aftermarket manifold had no cat and that I needed the correct part to pass. He first quoted me $650 for a new part and $125 for labor (a 30-minute job that I’ve done myself before at a rent-a-lift in Michigan). oscar and his team are awesome! super professional, honest with their prices, and really helpful. i’ve needed their help twice now and both times they were ready to jump in and get me back on the road. definitely recommend if you’re looking for a shop you can actually trust!
