Man, this place is cooler than the other side of the pillow. You definitely need to check out the calender.
Great spot for a show!
I went to 3 music spots while in New Orleans: Fritzels, Spotted Cat, and Chickie Wah Wah. While with the other two, you just show up and watch the house band or whoever is playing, Chickie is more of a check-out-the-calandar and buy tickets sort of spot. You can hop on the street car for a $1.25 (cash only) for the short ride up from the French Quarter and that's fun and quainte. I saw Jon Cleary, an amazing New Orleans piano player.
