The one-hour drive to Chicago’s Finest Barber Shop to see my stylist, Adriana, is the only time I don’t mind getting stuck in traffic. It took me four years—and many attempts—to find a stylist capable of handling my Puerto Rican hair. My hair is a mix of textures and full of curls—the kind that only a professional like her can trim with such expertise and precision. I am delighted with Adriana’s work. This marks the beginning of a long professional relationship.
