Mike and the team at Transcraft did an excellent job diagnosing and fixing my leaking transmission. They don't just replace parts randomly, they go find the problem and fix it. They're extremely reasonable with prices as well. My car is running much better now. Smooth shifts, and no shudder when coming to a stop. Highly recommend!
Well, I can’t thank Mike enough. He fixed my differential on my 2004 Chevy SSR, when nobody else could. What a Great, Old School mechanic! In an age were everything automotive, is over engineered and junk made overseas, here’s a Guy that knew what was wrong and what parts it needed. I was very impressed with Mike and Chicago Transcraft today. I brought my car in because I'd been told I needed a new transmission from another shop, but Mike took me on a ride-along, inspected the car for hours, and determined that the car did not need any work done. While I don't want to have transmission repairs needed, if I do in the future I will definitely go back to his shop.
I really didn’t want to write this review, but here we are. This summer, I brought my car to your shop for a transmission rebuild and paid $3,500. You replaced the worn friction discs inside but didn’t touch the sensors or the oil pump. My car is a 12-year-old Hyundai Sonata, and its transmission relies entirely on oil pressure. After the repair, you filled it with universal transmission fluid instead of the SP4 fluid recommended by the manufacturer. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Transcraft. Mike and his team did a fantastic job on rebuilding my jeeps transmission. Pricing was good, and their turn around time is super fast, and communication was great. Thank you guys so much. 1000/10, would recommend!
