I would not recommend Chicago Title Insurance. They failed to identify a recorded lien on the property I purchased, which has resulted in significant stress and uncertainty. The purpose of title insurance is to identify and protect buyers from issues like this, and in my experience, that process fell short. I expected a thorough title search and greater attention to detail before closing. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend their services.
Stay away from this company. They gave my title insurance policy after a YEAR of buying the house. That, too, after calling and emailing several times. Special mention to Mr. P. Barry, who sits in Saratoga, never replied to an email or returned any of my calls.
Very poor service!
