Chicago HVAC repair doctor is one of the best in the business. I use a technician from them named Ivan, and just recently he discovered the startup battery on our 12 year old outside air conditioner was operating @ 25% less than it was supposed to, which he demonstrated with a photo of his measuring meter. Now that we've replaced it, the air being generated is much cooler than it was before, and the motor is operating with less stress, helping ensure a longer life.
Edit - adjusting to one star based on vendor response. Hopefully the below is transparent for all - they basically over-charge, under-deliver and try to justify it. They didn't really address any of the questions below and their $89 cleaning involves basically rinsing the unit with our hose - recall that they had already assessed the problem, what are all of the "diagnostics" for that they discuss?
