Made an appointment to do a tire swap as part of a deal on buying a new truck. The appointment was made by the salesmen, for 1:30pm the next day. Showed up, no one knew what I was talking about. Just got new window tint, told them about it…first thing the guy does is roll my window down with me standing there… Got put in a rental, said they wouldn't get to it today…still wasn’t done by 2pm the following day. Called the service manager asking what the point of an appointment was? Magically done an hour later.
Problem was finally solved so that was a plus. Staff was kind. Would be nice to be able to change channels on TV in waiting area. Do appreciate having one to occupy time while waiting!
I've been in the service business for 45 years so I get what goes into taking care of customers. In that time I've dealt with numerous car dealerships across the country and am happy to say the Service Department at Greg Young Chevrolet in Norwalk, IA is by far the best I've ever experienced. Service Mgr Taylor Burton goes well above what's needed to satisfy any issues I've experienced and Service Writer Tyler is the best communicator I've dealt with. Went to Gregg Young for 4 new tires and aliment. i made the appointment online 4 days prior to the apponitment. at first i was greeted and welcomed, and dropped off my truck with no issues. after 5 minutes i got a call asking if i had ordered tires to which i repiled no. i got told that since i did not order tires that they could not do the service, but that they have a warehouse full of tires but would not get there until 3p.m.( i dropped off the truck at 8:30 A.M.) i told them that i could not wait and the dealership all d... read more
